Objective:To study the correlation between quality and color,shape and Salvia miltiorrhiza slice active components change in the drying process.In addition,the distribution regularity of active components in the root of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.,and provide theoretical basis for reasonable to evaluate the quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. and exploitation and utilization of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge..Methods:Collecting field Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. as research materials,to determine the contents of rosmarinic acid,lithospermic acid,salvianolic B,dihydro ta-nshinoneⅠ,cryptotanshinone, tanshinoneⅠand tanshinone ⅡA in different col-or,shape and drying process and each part of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. roots.Th-en to explore the correlation between them.Results:(1)Each components in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. with different color existed significant difference.The redder the diameter of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.,the higher the contents of active components,and the impact of color change on fat-soluble components contents was far bigger than water-soluble components.Besides dihydrotanshinoneⅠand lithospermic acid had no correlation with the chromatic value L~*,a~*,b~*,other ingredients mainly showed a negative correlation with the chromatic value L~*,and a positive correlation with the chromatic value a~*, b~*.(2)Each component in different Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. medicinal materials had significant difference.Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. with less branch had higher levels of water-soluble components,and fat-soluble components were higher in the more branches of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.,except for cryptotanshinone,other components all had significant difference.(3)In the Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. chips drying,the change trend of rosmarinic acid and salvianolic B were basically identical.The first 8 hours,the difference of contents of salvianolic B were subtle,10 hours later began to rise,after 24 hours,the contents reached the highest.while fat-soluble components dihydrotanshinoneⅠ,cryptotanshinone, tanshinoneⅠand tanshinone ⅡA had almost identical change trend,first increased and then reduced again.While in the air-dried drying process,the change trend of all the components had “W”,the first small peak appeared after 6 hours, after 24 hour,the contents reached the highest.(4)Each active component had a certain distribution in root of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge., from outside to inside the contents of seven kinds of active components exhibited a trend of decreasing, highest in epidermis,followed by the cortex,vascular;from top to bottom,the contents of water-soluble components exhibited a trend of decreasing, highest in the upper part,while the contents of fat-soluble components exhibited a trend of increasing,highest in the upper part.Conclusion:The factors such as different colors,shape and drying had a certain influence on the quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.,and each active component had a certain distribution in root of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.,which suggested us by adjusting the cultivation measures,breeding good varieties,improvement of processing method,to or about control of contents of components,improving the quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge..
