| Objective: Taking patients who have the sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease as the research objects, with the decoction and navel moxibustion as treatment methods and decoction as a control therapy, and using a randomized and control study methods to observe the differences between the decoction combined with moxibustion and decoction in treating the sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease and evaluate the clinical effects and mechanism of combined therapy in the treatment of sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease with the characteristic of cold, dampness and stagnation. Methods: A total of 72 patients who have asequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease with the characteristic of cold, dampness and stagnation according to medical history, gynecological examination and laboratory examination and meet the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The 72 patients are randomly divided into treatment group(moxibustion + decoction) and the control group(decoction), and each group includes 36 patients. The treatment is given 2 times a week and 4 weeks for 1 courses, and two courses of treatment are observed. After the treatment, the treatment effects of cold, dampness and stagnation, sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease symptoms, the total curative effect after treatment, the changes of serum IL-2, TNF- alpha and erythrocyte sedimentation rate and the severity and efficacy of treatment in two groups are compared and analyzed. Results: 1. The analysis of comprehensive curative effects shows that the total efficiency is 94.4% in the treatment group and 88.8% in the control group. There exist significant differences in the treatment group before and after treatment(P < 0.05), and curative effects in the treatment group is better than that the control group. 2. The comparisons of the symptoms and signs of sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease are statistically significant, P<0.05, and there exist significant differences in the symptoms and signs of the treatment group and the control group, and treatment group is better than the control group in improving symptoms and signs.3. The comparisons of Serum IL-2and TNF- alpha cells before and after treatment show that there are no significant differences in Serum IL-2and TNF- alpha cells before the treatment(P > 0.05). After the treatment, the Serum IL-2 increases significantly in two groups while TNF- alpha decrease significantly, and the results before and after the treatment are significantly different(P<0.01), especially Serum IL-2and TNF- alpha(P<0.01). 4.Based on the analysis of curative effect, treatment group total effective rate was 94.4%, control group total effective rate was 88.8%.Treatment group before and after treatment compared significant difference(P < 0.05), treatment group curative effect is better than the control group.5. The curative effects of patients in the treatment group with different severity of illness show that the total efficiency rate of patients with minor disease is 100%, the efficiency rate of patients with moderate disease is 91.1%, and efficiency rate of patients with serious disease is only 50%. The curative effects of light, moderate sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease in the treatment group are more obvious, and the severity of disease can be clearly reduced. Conclusions: Decoction and moxibustion treatment can improve the sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease, but the treatment group’s clinical curative effect is satisfying, safe, reliable and is worthy of further promotion and research. |
