Objectives To compare the changes of symptoms, the score of each scale before and after treatment in order to confirm the clinical efficacy of Wenyangshuyu decoction which is based on warming Yang, by this way can we provide new thinking clinics and effective therapies of traditional C hinese medicine for the treatment of depression.Methods 1 Subject The 65 patients required treatment information in this experiment are taken from Tangshan C ity C hinese Medicine Hospital between October 2014 to January 2016. 2 Methods The depressed patients met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group which give the treatment with Wenyangshuyu decoction combined Deanxit, and a control group that is simply given the treatment of Deanxit.The initial dose of Deanxit who is also called Flupentixol melitracenan is just one pill in every morning, then we can adjust the dose according to the condition appropriate until the maximum dosage reaches three drugs in daily treatment.The Chinese medicine is Wenyangshuyu decoction, which taken about 200 ml twice everyday after the breakfast and dinner half an hour. 3 Observational index Established some indicator for further observation, observed and recorded the changes of the patient before and after treatment including the depression, sleep, somatic anxiety, gastrointestinal symptoms, sexual symptoms, weight and Yang symptoms. Recording the changes of different indicators and differences in the efficacy before and after treatment in both groups, which would lasted 2 months.Results The HAMD scale scores and the TCM syndrome score in the treatment group better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). On improving the yang deficiency symptoms, treatment group was significa ntly better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Total effective cases of the treatment group are 33 cases and the control group are 32 cases. And the total effective rate of HAMD is 93.94% and84.38%(P>0.05),and the total effective rate of TCM is 90.91% and 62.50%(P<0.05).Conclusions Using the Wenyangshuyu decoction based on warming Yang treat the patients of mild and moderate Yang deficiency depression, the relevant indicators of depression in particular a series of Yang deficiency symptoms have improved significantly. The effect is positive, therefore, the method of warming Yang and Wenyangshuyu decoction can provide valuable reference for curing the Yang deficiency depression patients...
