Objective: to investigate the sonographic features of Hashimoto's thyroiditis(HT) on patients required Levothyroxine treatment, and to compare the difference of that on patients not required Levothyroxine treatment.Method: A total of 126 patients(group with Levothyroxine treatment: 65 patients, who require Levothyroxine treatment longer than half year; group without Levothyroxine treatment: 61 patients, who not require Levothyroxine treatment). Both of them underwent ultrasound examination and thyroid function examination by means of chemiluminescence. The difference and correlation of thyroid function and sonographic features between two groups were analyzed. Results: Regarding the case distribution on basis of thyroid function classification, there were significant difference(Kruskal-wallis test) not only in group with Levothyroxine treatment for capsule sonographic feature(Hc=7.998,P=0.046) and Doppler flow(Hc=26.888,P=0.000), but also in group without Levothyroxine treatment for sonographic echogenicity(Hc=9.450,P=0.024) and Doppler flow(Hc=35.041,P=0.000).Conclusion: Ultrasound features can predict the progression of HT, and provide more reliable information during HT treatment. |
