Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Acupoint Selection Based On Surface Electromyography In The Treatment Of Dysphagia After Stroke

Purpose: Observe the clinical effect of surface electromyography(s EMG)guide acupuncture treatment of dysphagia after stroke,then provide a relatively standardized and objective method for the acupuncture treatment of dysphagia after stroke and offer a new method for acupuncture point selection.Method: 41 qualified patients according with the criteria were randomly and chronologically divided into two groups,22 cases treatment group(the s EMG based acupuncture treatment plus basic treatment)and 19 cases control group(the conventional acupuncture treatment plus basic treatment).All patients were treated 1 times a day,with 12 days.Before and after the treatment,the patients were evaluated by the Kubota water test scores,the Toshima Ichiro swallowing evaluation standard,the standardized swallowing assessment(SSA)and s EMG swallowing time.Result:(1)After the treatment,the two groups of patients in the field of Kubota water test scores,Toshima Ichiro swallowing evaluation standard,SSA score and s EMG swallowing time were significantly improved,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)After the treatment,there was no significant difference between the two groups in the evaluation of Kubota water test scores,Toshima Ichiro swallowing evaluation standard and SSA score(P>0.05).(3)After the treatment,compared with the control group,the treatment group was significantly improved in the evaluation of s EMG swallowing time,the difference as statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)After the treatment,the total effective rate of the treatment group was 86%,and the control group was 84%.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)The conventional acupuntuer therapy and the s EMG guide acupuncture treatment can be used for the treatment of dysphagia in stroke recovery period.Both of them were effective in improving the swallowing function of patients.(2)The s EMG guide acupuncture treatment was better than that of the conventional acupuntuer therapy in improving the swallowing time.(3)As a new method of acupoints selection,based on the s EMG guide selection acupoints can be used in the treatment of dysphagia in stroke recovery period.
