Objective: This survey was designed to assess the awareness of food safety knowledge, the situation of food safety behavior during cooking and dining of Erdao district of Changchun,and explore the related factors especially demographic characteristics that influenced the food safety awareness and food safety behavior during cooking and dining.further more,we wanted to discover the relationship between the awareness of food safety and the food safety behavior during cooking and dining.At last,on the basis of analysising the database,some advices about publicity and education would be given. Methods:The questionnaire survey was conducted among 1044 inhabitants by stratified cluster sampling in Erdao district of Changchun.The contents included demographic characteristics,the awareness of food safety knowledge and food safety behavior during cooking and dining.We establish a database by using Epidata3.1,chosed percentage method and comprehensive method score to describe the awareness of food safety knowledge level and food safety behavior level during cooking and dining.F test is also chosen to analysis the awareness of food safety knowledge and behavior level under different demographic characteristics,and Linear stepwise regression was used to filter the main factors affecting the awareness of food safety knowledge. We also chosed Independent-Samples F test,Spearman correlation analysis to reveal the relationship between the awareness of food safety knowledge and food safety behavior during cooking and dining. Results:(1) Of all the inhabitants we investigaged, a total of 71 people chosed the right answer for the 10% to 20% questions, accounting for 6.70%; the a total of 255 people chosed the right answers for the20% to 30% questions, accounting for 24.43%; a total of 396 people chosed the right answer for the 30% to 40% questions, accounting for 37.93%; a total of 213 people chosed the right answer for the 40% to 50%questions, accounting for 20.40%; a total of 110 people got the score rate more than 60%, accounting for 10.54%(2) The overall score rate of good behavior during cooking and dining was 37.93% which is higher than the score rate of the awareness of food sfety knowledge.(3)There is a close relationship between the awareness of food safety knowledge and the awareness of food safety knowledge of the inhabitants in Erdao strict of Changchun,Those who got higher score in the awareness of food safety knowledge also got higher score in knowledge of cooking and dining. Conclusions:(1)The overall level of food safety knowledge among inhabitants in Erdao strict of Changchun was bad,especially the knowledge of the food safety law ahd policy.(2)demographic characteristics like age,gender,the average income level of a family,occupational categories all have influences on the awareness of food safety knowledge and food safety behavior during cooking and dining.Those with young age,lower average family income,having no child and so on need more attentions during publicty and education.(3)The results revealed that there is a close relationship between the awareness of food safety knowledge and food safety behavior during cooking and dining.(4) In order to prevent food poising,food safety regulation should be strengthened,and the awareness lever of food safety knowledge of the inhabitants should be increased.
