Objective:evaluate the effect of integrative Chinese and Western medicine for the treatment of senile severe acute biliary pancreatitis(SABP).Method:130 senile SABP patients who have been treated in our hospital form 2002.1 to 2015.12 were collected.Those patients were divided in to treatment and control groups randomly.Patients in treatment group patients were treated with Chinese and Western medicine,while those in control group were treated with Western medicine.The western medicine used for the treatment of the two groups was the same.Result:The recovery time of intestinal function in treatment group and control group was 6.2±2.7d VS 10.6±3.4d,P<0.05;the length of hospital stay was 23.5±6.8d VS 39.2±8.3d,P<0.05;the totally effective rate was 89.2%VS 67.7%,P<0.05;the complication rate was 24.1%VS 52.3%,P<0.05,the mortality rate was 3.1%VS16.9%,P<0.05.Conclusion:Combined treatment of traditional Chinese and western medicine could decrease th e time of intestinal function recovery,hospital stay,improve the curative effect,and decr ease the complication and mortality of patients with acute biliary pancreatitis.
