TCM Etiology And Constitution Of Chronic Atrophic Gastritis:A Case-control Study

Objective:To study the relationship between TCM etiology,constitution and chronic atrophic gastr-itis(CAG),such as eating habits,activities of daily living,exercise,emotions.Methods:Using the case-control study method,we selected 100 patient as the observation group f-rom February 1,2016 to March 1,2017 in our hospitaloutpatient andmedical examination c-enter who was from Fuzhou with diagnosed with CAG using gastroscopy.Defined as living in Fuzhou and the jurisdiction of the suburbs more than 10 years.According to gender,age 1:1 pairing,matching age difference of 3 years old,we selected 100 cases as a controlgroup who were Fuzhou non-CAG patients.The samegroups,such as activities of daily living,exercise,diet,emotions,of the two groups of people by using the questionnaire and inputed them in co-mputer.And Conditional Logistic regression was used for statistical analysis.Results:The factors investigated in this study were analyzed by univariate conditional logistic re-gression,suggesting that significant factors are as follows:liking fried foods,animalprotein,regular quantitative meals,coarse grains,concentrate on eating,excessive exer-cise,poor sle-ep quality,worry and thought,fear and fright,sadness,Hp infection,yang deficiency constit-ution,blood stasis constitution,qi stagnation constitution,peace co-nstitution and so on.Multivariate conditional logistic regression analysis was performed on the factors with s-ignificant factors after single factor analysis.The results were as follows:Excessive exercise,fear and fright,Hp infection,yang-deficiency constitution,blood stasis consti-tution,and the occurrence of CAG were positively correlated,that is,possible causes,their OR values were:3.250,2.527,2.277,4.070,11.359;Concentrate on eating,coar-se grains and the disease was negatively correlated,that is,protective factors,the OR values were:0.116,0.655.Conclusion:The occurrence of chronic atrophic gastritis is affected by the etiology and constitutiong of TCM.Excessive exercise,fear and fright in the emotions and exogenous damp-heat evil(Hp in-fection)is a possible cause of chronic atrophic gastritis,The constitution of CAG may be ma-nifested as yang deficiency and blood stasis constitution.Concentrate on eating,coarse grains in Eating habits are possible protective factors of the disease.And these factors affect the occ-urrence and development of CAG together.This study can be used as a reference for the prevention of chronic atrophic gastritis:we suggest people should exercise appropriately in life,not be excessive,and should adjust emot-ion,relax mood,relieve tension or anxiety,and should eradicate the Hp infection timely;For the constitution,we should actively adjust the biased constitution,especially the yang deficie-ncy constitution,blood stasis constitution.We Usually should develop the habit of concentr-ate on eating,and eat more coarse grains.And these may reduce the incidence of this disease.For patients with the above causes can be examined by electronic gastroscopy regularly.
