| Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of decoction of warming Yang and dissolving turbidity combined with XELOX chemotherapy in patients with advanced colorectal cancer of asdthenic splenonephro-yang,to explore its effect on tumor size,tumor marker CEA,TCM clinical symptoms,quality of life,functional status and side effects of chemotherapy,so as to provide new ideas and clinical basis for the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer.Method: The clinical stage was diagnosed as stage IIIB and IVA with a randomized control method,and 40 cases with advanced colorectal cancer of asdthenic splenonephro-yang were divided into 2 groups according to TCM syndrome differentiation,of which the treatment group(decoction of warming Yang and dissolving turbidity combined with XELOX chemotherapy)included 20 cases,and control group(simple XELOX chemotherapy)included 20 cases.The treatment group took Chinese herbal compound decoction of warming Yang and dissolving turbidity(boil-free granules),2times a day,100 ml each time,and after 2-week continuous medication,withdrawal for 1 week;and at the same time,combined with XELOX chemotherapy,after 2-week continuous treatment,withdrawal for 1 week,set every 3 weeks as a cycle,the patients should be continuously observed 2cycles.The control group was treated with XELOX only.After treatment,compare whether there was statistical significance between the two groups via statistical analysis.Result: The clinical efficacy analysis showed that there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in the size of solid tumor and tumor marker CEA(P>0.05);compared with the control group,the treatment group had a greater improvement in TCM syndrome score(P<0.05)and in weight maintenance(P<0.05),and a better KPS score(P<0.05);the symptoms of nausea,vomiting and diarrhea of the treatment group were significantly decreased(P<0.05)though there was no significant difference in the side effects of leucocytosis,thrombocytopenia,hemoglobin decrease,transaminase and creatinine elevation between the two groups(P>0.05)in terms of toxic and side effects after chemotherapy;the quality of life score in the two group were significantly decreased(P<0.01,P<0.05),but a higher quality of life score in the treatment group compared with the control group after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion: Decoction of warming Yang and dissolving turbidity combined with XELOX chemotherapy can retard diarrhea and vomiting in patients with advanced colorectal cancer caused by side effects of chemotherapy,reduce the pain of chemotherapy,maintain patients' weight,and improve the quality of life and functional status of patients.The study confirms the basic thought of TCM that decoction of warming Yang and dissolving turbidity supplements “fire” and reinforces “soil”,ascends the clear and descends the turbid,and the study helps not only to improve the function of spleen and stomach in patients with advanced colorectal cancer but reduce the adverse reactions in the digestive system. |
