| Su Shiping,typhoid fever physician in the south of the Five Ridges,learned after Li Biliu in his early years and then practiced medicine in many places.Su had dedicated to writing and produced twelve books with "the Oringinal Text and Meaning of Treatise on fevers " and " the Original Text and Meaning of Synopsis of Golden Chamber " as his master pieces.In his later years,in response to the government’s call,he participated in the construction of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute of Xinhui County,and presided over the opening of traditional Chinese medicine classes.This study combs the teaching deeds of Su Shiping’s Traditional Chinese Medicine course in Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute of Xinhui County from nineteen fifty-eight to nineteen sixty-one.These things included choosing students,setting up school system for three years,arranging teaching materials.Correspondingly he opened seven courses,namely the inner medicine,diagnosis,acupuncture,medical history,prescriptions,Treatise on the Golden Chamber.In the pedagogical process,Su synthetically used teaching,self-learning,question and answer,evaluation and practice to stimulate students’ learning interest.He also combined theoretical study and clinical practice,the medical case study and clinical teaching to be specific,to promote the rapid growth of students as clinicians.This study introduced Su Shiping’s teaching materials and resources for teaching.He selected some of " the Inner Cannon of Huangdi "," Abstracts of Classics of Inner medicine " and " the Golden Mirror of Medicine " as his teaching materials,which were mostly in the form of verse to facilitate students to recite.He writed " New Rhyme of Meridian "," Ancient and Modern Rhyme Series "," Medical History "," Tongue Diagnosis Tips ",the Original Text and Meaning of Treatise on fevers " and " the Original Text and Meaning of Synopsis of Golden Chamber" as teaching materials," Medical Talk ","New Chinese Medicine Debate "," a Selection of Medical Papers " and " Chinese Medicine Set" as the resources for teaching.These works are typically short and tidy partly because of the short session of teaching,and reflects the love of Traditional Chinese Medicine.This study analyzes the 39 medical cases recorded by Su Shiping,one is from " the Original Text and Meaning of Treatise on fevers ",one Is from" the Original Text and Meaning of Synopsis of Golden Chamber ",Twenty-three are from " the Medical records of Su Shiping " and fourteen are from "the true meaning of Convulsion ".It summarizes the clinical experience with respects to medical cases,the contents of medical cases,the characteristics of medical cases and so on.All medical cases are severe or nearly incurable diseases,the ratio is seventy-nine point four nine percent;and flexibly use those prescriptions.Further more,the herbal medicines in a prescription mainly are four to ten,the ratio is eighty-seven point nine five percent.This study summarizes Su Shiping’ s teaching characteristics and academic characteristics.His teaching is characterized by the verse form,focusing on recitation and attention to theory and practice.His academy pursuit is characteristic by being rigorous,abandoning the mystery,learning from ancient practice and going beyond it,and the pursuit of truth,admitting and combining the strengths of both Chinese and Western medicine.The talent cultivation mode which is the famous doctors as the center and the school style,augments the content of the history of Chinese medicine education,and helps students to become clinical doctors,it worths learning.The Medical records must be a good effect of traditional Chinese medicine treatment,they are worthy of scholars to study and emulate. |
