ObjectiveTo investigate the performance of red cell volume distribution width-to-platelet ratio(RPR)in diagnosing and predicting hepatic fibrosis patients with HBV-infected.MethodsBetween January 2010 and December 2014,131 cases of hepatic fibrosis patients(hepatic fibrosis group);620 cases of liver cancer patients(liver cancer group);101 cases of gall-stone patients(gall-stone group)and 430 cases of liver benign lesions were enrolled from The Second Affiliated hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine who were underwent liver biopsy. Each group was divided into two subgroups according to HBV-infected or not.Hematology parameters ALT,AST,GGT,PLT,RDW,Tch and age were collected to calculate the noninvasive APRI,Forms,RPR,FIB-4 and S models. The correlations of every model and every disease group were calculated by Spearman bivariate correlation analysis.ROC curves for predicting fibrosis of RPR and other four models were compared. And 131 cases of hepatic fibrosis was graded to analyze whether RPR could predict the severity of hepatic fibrosis.ResultsRPR?FIB-4?APRI?Foruns and S were statistically significant among:hepatic fibrosis, liver cancer, gallstones, and liver benign lesion group,Correlation analysis also showed the significant relevance between hepatic fibrosis and RPR?FIB-4?APRI?Forns?S,RPR demonstrated the strongest correlation with hepatic fibrosis in HBV-infected group(0.572,P<0.05),followed by Foms(0.390,P<0.05)and FIB-4(0.347,P<0.05).In non-HBV-infected group, only RPR had statistically significant correlation with fibrosis(0.320,P<0.05).AUCs showed RPR was higher than other models both in HBV-infected group and non-HBV-infected(0.844,0.668).RPR was connected with hepatic fibrosis grading.ConclusionRPR is a useful model for predicting hepatic fibrosis patients with HBV-infected,and RPR can be a indication for hepatic fibrosis patients with non-HBV-infected.Furthermore RPR can be used to monitor the severity of hepatic fibrosis.RPR could be a powerful supplement of diagnosing for hepatic fibrosis and predicting for its severity.
