Objective:This clinical study objectively evaluated the treatment curative effect with the Chinese medicine herb reinforcing the spleen and benefiting the lung to strengthen superficial body resistance that was used to treat children with recurrent respiratory tract infection of lung and spleen Qi deficiency syndrome, through comparing with the control group(taken the pidotimod). Methods:This study adopted a randomized parallel control method, the 60 cases of chidren suffered from RRTI and met the standard was divided into the treatment group and control group, each had 30 cases. The treatment group used the Chinese medicine herb reinforcing the spleen and benefiting the lung to strengthen superficial body resistance, and the Control group used oral pidotimod which was a kind of moder dispersible tablet. Both of them was followed up for 6 months after treated for 2 months. Finally, there was objectively evaluating the clinical curative effect of two kinds of therapeutic methods by analyzing the statistical data.Results:(1)In curative effect of syndromes,The total effective rate of treatment group was 90.00%,higher than the control group(76.67%),there was significant difference(p<0.05);In clinical curative effect, the total effective rate of control group was 93.33%,higher than the control group(86.67%),there was significant difference(p<0.05).(2)In the aspects of TCM syndrome integral evaluation:the symptomatic score improvement of the two groups is not obvious at the first 2 months compared with no statistical difference(p>0.05);In the follow-up of 3 months after treatment, the treatment group primary symptomatic score was decreased comparing with pretherapy, the difference was statistically significant, and the symptoms of hyperhidrosis, aversion to wind and cold of the treatment group had a great improvement, comparing with the control group the difference had statistically significant,at the same time. After six months treatment, the cardinal symptoms(complexion, distinclination to talk, anorexia)and the secondary symptoms(such as mental state, the sleep)integral comparison between the two groups had statistical difference(p<0.05).The symptoms such as hyperhidrosis, distinclination to talk, was defecate integral comparison between the two groups, there was a significant statistical significance(p<0.01).(3)In terms of improving the course of disease, incidence, and so on.Comparison between two groups are similar, there was statistical difference(p<0.05);Compared with pretherapy, the number of upper respiratory tract infection of the two groups, the differences were statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:The Chinese medicinal herb of Tonifying spleen and lung to consolidate superficial had better curative effect,it was an effective method for RRTI,which could improve clinical symptoms and be widely used in clinic. There was advantages of traditional of pediatric diseases to furtherly develop the characteristics and advantages of Chinese medicine therapy of pediatric diseases.
