Objective:To evaluate the effect of Yili dark bee propolis on the demineralization and remineralization of dental enamel in vitro.Methods:60 extracted bovine incisor enamel samples were prepared and randomly divided into 3 groups:yili dark bee propolis group,sodium fluoride group(positive control)and deionized water group(negative control group).Respectively in vitro demineralization and remineralization experiment,observe the enamel surface morphology by scanning electron microscopy,using confocal laser scanning microscopy of enamel demineralization degree by area of the fluorescent lesion,total fluorescence and average fluorescent of the lesion on reducing demineralization and promoting remineralization effect were quantified by using One-way ANOVA for statistical analysis.Results:1.scanning electron microscopy showed:after demineralization group three visible enamel surface is not flat,but the sodium fluoride group and propolis group showed enamel surface particle adhesion,deionized water and no particles attached to the enamel surface is uneven;remineralization of enamel surface after the three groups have different degrees of recovery of the enamel surface morphology,sodium fluoride group the demineralized smooth and fine particle deposition in many round or oval,and deionized water group and propolis group still visible enamel demineralization center formed pits.2.Laser scanning confocal scanning microscopy showed that: after demineralization,The fluorescent lesion,total fluorescence and average fluorescent of the lesion of fluoride group and propolis group were smaller than that of the water group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The fluorescent lesion,total fluorescence and average fluorescent of the lesion of propolis group were larger than those of sodium fluoride group,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).After remineralization,the fluorescence area,total fluorescence amount and average fluorescence quantity of sodium fluoride group were smaller than that of the water group and propolis group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The fluorescent lesion,total fluorescence and average fluorescent of the lesion of propolis group were smaller than that of the water group,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:The Yili dark bee propolis can effectively reduce demineralization,but does not have the effect of promoting the remineralization of enamel.
