Clinical Research On The Treatment Of Allergic Rhinitis With Tuo Mintang

Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effects of Tuo Mintang on allergic rhinitis featured by lung and spleen deficiency syndrome,to evaluate the treatment efficiency and symptom improvement,so as to provide proof for the Tuo Mintang in the treatment of allergic rhinitis,also to find theoretical support on Traditional Chinese Medical(TCM)Treatment of allergic rhinitisMethods: Selected 60 cases of allergic rhinitis respectively from both the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical Univerity and Jiangjin Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital.Tuo Mingtang(Rubiaceae,shikonin,Herba Ecliptae and Fructus Chebulae,Fructus alpiniae oxyphyllae,dangshen,astragalus,windbreak,cicada,Patients in the control group were treated with Professor Sun Yongdong's Tuo Mingtang(Astragalus,atractylodes,dangshen,windproof,cicada,tuckahoe,liquorice,fructus schisandrae,cassia twig,myrobalan,etc).After the treatment,compared two groups of patients with treatment efficiency,and compared the improvement of symptom in the two groups through the visual analog scale(VAS)and symptom scores of Traditional Chinese Medical(TCM),and also applied statistical analysis.Results:(1)The total efficive rate of the treatment group were significant higher than the control group.[95%(57/60)VS71.7%(43/60)] Statistical difference was observed and considered(P<0.05).(2)With the extension of treatment time,the clinical symptom score of the two groups were gradually reduced.At the end of the2 ndweek,the clinical symptom of loose stool chilly?nasal swelling in the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group.At the end of the4 ndweek,symptom scores of TCM in both the two groups of patients were significantly decreased,but the scores of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group,P < 0.05,the difference was statistically significant.(3)VAS score comparison: before treatment,two groups of patients were the same,At the end of the2 nd and 4ndweek,VAS score of the gic rhinitis,but also can significantly improve the clinical symptoms,so it is worth P<0.05.Conclusion: Tuo Mintang can not only improve the efficiency of clinical treatment on allergic rhinitis,but also can significantly improve the clinical symptoms,so it is worthy to promote the clinical application of Tuo Mintang.
