Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics and general data of 138 patients with postoperative adhesive intestinal obstruction in the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University. To observe the clinical significance of purgative therapy on gastrointestinal dysfunction in patients with adhesions after abdominal surgery,To improve the effect of traditional Chinese medicine on the recovery of gastrointestinal dysfunction and the related indexes of postoperative adhesions in patients, and to discuss the pathogenesis and treatment of adhesive intestinal obstruction.Observe conventional treatment compared with Western medicine alone itself after treatment of adhesive intestinal obstruction with or without advantage,so as to guide the clinical treatment of adhesive intestinal obstruction, improve clinical efficiency to provide a reliable basis. Methods:A total of 138 patients of postoperative abdominal adhesive intestinal obstruction who were admitted to First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from October 2013 to October 2016 were the object of this study. The 35 cases in study group were treated with the purgative therapy combined with conventional Western medicine, and for the 103 cases in control group were treated with general Western medicine methods.Statistics of the abdominal pain&abdominal distension relief time, time to defecate and to emit flatus, gastric tube removal time, length of stay and other clinical indicators after admission between the two group patients were compared with statistical analysis. Results:After SPSS statistical software analysis, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in gender, age, surgical method and onset time.Within the 35 cases of study group,27 cases were cured which is 77.1%,6 cases were effective and 2 cases ineffective, the effective rate were 17.1 and 5.7%correspondingly,the total effective rate was 94.3%;Within 103 cases in the control group,56 cases were cured, the rate was 54.4%,25 cases were effective,22 cases ineffective, the effective rate were 24.3%and 21.4%correspondingly,the total effective rate was 78.8%.After analysis, the total effective rate of the study group was significantly higher than the control group, and the cure rate was higher than the control group,P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant. In abdominal pain, abdominal distension relief time, defecation time, exhaust time, gastric tube extraction time, length of stay like clinical indicators have obvious advantages in the study group, suggesting that our study group is better than the efficacy of the control group, proving purgative therapy of traditional Chinese medicine combined Western medicine conventional treatment compared to Western medicine, can be more effective in clinical efficacy. Conclusion:Purgative therapy play the role in dredging intestines, improve gastrointestinal dysfunction, the clinical application of purgative therapy in the treatment of adhesive intestinal obstruction after the overall effect is effective,it could effectively shorten the hospital stay, reduce the mental stress and financial burden of patients, effectively shorten the recovery time of food taking, improve abdominal pain and bloated feeling, improve gastrointestinal motility disorders, improve the cure rate.In general, the purgative therapy could promote recovery of adhesions of patients with intestinal obstruction. In conclusion, the conventional treatment of purgative therapy combined with western medicine has great value in the treatment of postoperative adhesive intestinal obstruction, which reduces the risk of secondary operation and provides some basis for future research.
