Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumors in China.In recent years,the incidence and mortality rate showed a clear upward trend.ALND plays an important role in the surgical treatment of breast cancer,but it brings postoperative complications such as upper limb lymphedema,pain,numbness and shoulder movement disorders.The SLNB method can predict the axillary lymph node status more accurately,reducing the surgical trauma,improve the quality of life of patients with SLN-negative breast cancer patients after surgery.The effect of SLNB depends on the choice of trace method and tracer selection,so it is important to find tracers with good tracing effect and high safety.Objective:To evaluate the feasibility of methylene blue and nano-carbon dye as a sentinel lymph node tracer in breast cancer.METHODS:From October 2013 to September 2013,at the breast surgery of the Cancer Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College 160 women with breast cancer which were divided into two groups randomly were selected in our study.Marked lymph nodes with isotopes before surgery,and used methylene blue as tracer in the sentinel lymph node biopsy in one group,and nano-carbon in another.The detection of sentinel lymph nodes of patients in two groups were compared.Results:The sentinel lymph node detection rate was 86.25%(69/80)in the methylene blue group and 93.25%(77/80)in the nano-carbon group,which was significantly higher than that in the former(P<0.05).Accuracy rate,false negative rate and sensitivity rate between the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:Both dyes can be used as sentinel lymph node tracer,and the detection rate of nano-carbon method is better than methylene blue method.
