| Objective: To understand current situation and influencing factors of post competency of among nursing staff in TCM hospital.Analysis training intervention effect based on the theory of Kirkpatrick’s Four levels model of nursing staff in TCM hospital.Method: It is a test-retest and quasi-experimental research design.New nurses graduated from non College of traditional Chinese medicine or TCM nursing graduate of third class A TCM hospital in 3 years in Shandong.All of them received the systematic training on TCM related knowledge and skill.The research divided into four stages.The first stage: The first stage: develop training programs.The research team at home and abroad through the analysis of the training of nurses and hospital related literature,semi-structured interviews with more than 10 years of teaching experience of 5 nursing teachers,develop new systematic training program for nurses’ competency based.The second stage: the baseline survey,before the systematic training,using the general information questionnaire collected the general situation of participation nursing staff.Investigation of post competency and general self-efficacy of the nursing staff at the same time,the theory of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge and skill test.The third stage: the implementation of training.The intervention was the theory of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge and skills among nursing staff in TCM hospital,the content of the training is the humanistic cultivation of nurses,nurses’ career planning education,nurses’ attitude,psychology,thinking and ideas,the theory of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge,special disease specialist Chinese medicine nursing,TCM nursing records and TCM nursing related contents,training methods for classroom teaching,group discussion and analysis of specialist education videos.The fourth stage: the training effect evaluation.Based on the theory of Kirkpatrick’s Four levels model to evaluate systematic training effect of clinical nursing staff in TCM hospital.Result: Before training,the average score of the post competency of among nursing staff in TCM hospital was(2.57±0.43),the score of each dimension of post competency from high to low followed by the interpersonal communication ability,intensive care ability,professional development ability,teaching and cooperation ability,leadership,plan and evaluation ability.Single factor analysis of variance : the score of the post competency among nursing staff in TCM hospital had significant differences(P<0.05)among different working age,work department,positional titles,last degree.Multiple linear regression analysis show that the general information(a total of 5 factors)of the participation nursing staff as the independent variables,the post competency as a dependent variables,for multiple linear regression analysis obtained: last degree and general self-efficacy are the main factors,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Reaction level effect evaluation of nursing staff in TCM hospital to appraise the training on teaching attitude,teaching implement and teaching effectiveness gave highly appreciate.Learning level effect assessment of nursing staff in TCM hospital: through systematic approach to training nurses theoretical results(83.45±4.06)and skill test scores(94.17±3.86)was significantly higher than the score after training(65.85 ± 4.59)and(79.47 ± 4.74),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Behavior level effect assessment of nursing staff in TCM hospital: before training,the average score on post competency among nursing staff in TCM hospital was(2.57±0.43),after training,the average score increased to(3.03±0.41),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)Post competency of newly nursing staff in TCM hospital should be further improved,plan and evaluation ability was the lowest.(2)The main impact factors of post competency among newly nursing staff in TCM hospital were the first degree and general self-efficacy.(3)Through the evaluation of the Kirkpatrick’s four levels model’s reaction level,learning level,behavior level,the systematic training program can improve the theoretical knowledge and related skills of nursing staff in TCM hospital,the post competency was improved. |
