Objective The research in this paper is focused on the ecology suitability and wildlife tending studies of Lomatogonium rotatum(L.)Fries ex Nym.in Inner Mongolia by the way of resources investigations in order to find the most suitable areas for germplasm resources and establish wildlife tending experiment base.Method The technology of geographic information system(GIS)was firstly used for the ecology suitability study of Lomatogonium rotatum(L.)Fries ex Nym.in Inner Mongolia.The distribution information of Lomatogonium rotatum(L.)Fries ex Nym.was collected by interview investigation and field survey,and related environmental factors were collected,the habitat suitability study was conducted based on geographic information system(GIS)and Maximum entropy model,the major environmental factors were chosen for the mapping of ecology suitability areas of Lomatogonium rotatum in Inner Mongolia.On the basis of ecology suitability study,many kinds of factors were synthesized,including the biology and ecology characteristics of Lomatogonium rotatum,different sowing time,different seed treatment and so on,the wildlife tending experiment base was established.Results(1)The AUCs of ROC curve were both above 0.99,indicating that the predicted results with the Maxent model were highly precise.(2)The results showed that 13 major environmental factors have an obvious influence on ecologysuitability distributions of Lomatogonium rotatum,including month average temperature of February et al.(3)The suitable distribution areas are mainly concentrated in the east-central of Inner Mongolia,including Hexigten Banner,Duolun County,Zhenglan Banner et al.(4)The wildlife tending experiment base has been preliminary established and seeding has been successfully cultivated,but the emergence and survival rate were both lower.Conclusions(1)The main ecological features of the suitable distribution areas of Lomatogonium rotatum are: the mean monthly temperatures of February is-13~-18 ?;the amount of precipitation of the most dry season is 6~19 mm;the vegetation type is temperate meadow of grasses,miscellaneous grass and salt meadow et al.(2)The zoning results basically coincide with the genuine producing areas,and further afford new suitable distribution areas,which can provide reference for Lomatogonium rotatum's wild nursery and the siting of introduction and cultivation.
