Objective To explore the variation of Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate(ESR)and C-reactive protein(CRP)on simple spinal tuberculosis patients in their treatment and the evaluation of their real value in clinical application.Methods Adoption a prospective cohort study design,select the simple spinal tuberculosis patients 224 cases who received treatment from January 2001 to January 2011 in the Affiliated Hospital of General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University Orthopedic spine,113 cases of male,111 females,aged 3 to 77 years,mean 38.28 years old.Preoperative routine received chemotherapy on anti-TB 2 to 6 weeks,the average time is about four weeks of chemotherapy.All patients were divided according to different surgical ultra short-course chemotherapy group(A)and the standard chemotherapy group(group B),pathology were confirmed spinal tuberculosis.Each postoperative patients were followed up to 5 years after surgery,observe and record the ESR and CRP in each period(Ant tuberculosis before,preoperative and postoperative 1 week,2 weeks,1 month,2 months,3 months,4 months,5 months,6 months,1 year,2 years,3 years,4 years,5 years),using different periods of the mean changes in statistical analysis and draw variation curve.Depending on the patient after chemotherapy treatment is divided into ultra-short-course chemotherapy group(A group from 4-6 months)and the standard chemotherapy group(group B 9-18 months).Results 1.After preoperative anti-TB treatment,the ESR of A,B group there are different degrees of decline;CRP in B groups with varying degrees of increase,A group mild decline.After analysis of variance,P> 0.05,the difference was not statistically significant.2.A group(ultra short group)180,and the overall ratio of 80.36%,group B(standard chemotherapy group)44,and the overall ratio of 19.64%;The mean time of Ant tuberculosis in A group is 4.88 months and B group is 10.64 months;Average ESR in A group returned to normal for three months after surgery,CRP returned to normal after about four months,Average ESR in the group B returned to normal after five months,CRP returned to normal after 1 year.Conclusion 1.Spinal tuberculosis before routine preoperative anti-TB treatment,ant tuberculosis recorded before and after ESR,CRP mean changes,and the statistical analysis of variance P> 0.05,the difference was not statistically significant,namely preoperative ant tuberculosis treatment cannot effectively reduce patients ESR,CRP,it cannot be used as the criteria of operation timing.2.Spinal tuberculosis patients after the first week of ESR,CRP was significantly higher than the preoperative and then showed a gradual downward trend,ESR returned to normal relatively short time than CRP,but the sensitivity of CRP higher than the ESR,so when we evaluate the postoperative spinal tuberculosis,Considering ESR and CRP,the ESR should be more focused in based.3.After ant tuberculosis treatment review ESR,CRP and imaging normal,it can stop taking drugs without continuous review three times ESR,CRP normal,and no significant difference in their long-term effect.
