| Objective:To study the clinical curative effect of tranditional Chinese medicine combined with antibiotic calcium phosphate cement implantation on the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis,and to observe the adverse reactions and side effects of traditional Chinese medicine so as to safety evaluation.Methods: Forty-six patients with chronic osteomyelitis who underwent orthopedic hospitalization and received surgical treatment from January 2015 to June 2016 in Gansu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,were divided into control group(23 cases)and treatment group(23 cases)on the basis of random number table method.The control group was treated with debridement and implantation of antibiotic calcium phosphate cement.While the treatment group were treated with tranditional chinese medicine combined with debridement and implantation of antibiotic calcium phosphate cement.Two groups of patients were treated 4 weeks after surgery for 1 course of treatment,both groups were followed up for 10 to 12 months,an average of 10.6 months.To compare the total efficiency,recurrence rate,wound infection control,laboratory efficacy indicators and other results of the two groups of patients,through statistical analysis to compare the efficacy of the two groups of patients and to monitor liver and kidney function changes of the treatment group before and after treatment,To evaluate the side effects and safety of traditional Chinese medicine.Results:The total effective rate of the two groups was 91.30% in the treatment group and 78.26% in the control group.The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The recurrence rate was 4.35% in the treatment group and 26.09% in the control group.The recurrence rate in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The improvement of wound infection control in the two groups was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).Treatment of chronic osteomyelitis of Traditional Chinese medicine can effectively decrease the WBC,N,ESR and CRP,increase Hb and RBC,and compared with the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Traditional Chinese medicine can effectively control the local inflammation,enhance wound healing,improve clinical efficacy,reduce the recurrence rate.There were no significantdifferences in liver and kidney function between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).No adverse reactions and side effects were found.Conclusion:1.It is an effective therapeutic method of the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis with tranditional Chinese medicine combined with implantation of antibiotic calcium phosphate cement,the effect was better than the simple Western medicine treatment.2.Ttranditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis,can effectively control the infection,promote wound healing,improve the body immunity,thereby reducing the recurrence rate.3.Tranditional Chinese medicine had no adverse reactions and side effects,high safety. |
