| Diabetic gastroparesis(DGP)is one of the common gastrointestinal complication of diabetes,associated with considerably increasing morbidity among these patients,and seriously affect the quality of life of patients with DGP.Patients often present with nausea,vomiting,bloating,early satiety,and abdominal pain.Currently the pathogenesis of DGP have not been fully elucidated but are possibly pertinent to the lesion of Interstitial Cells of Cajal,neuropathy,immune cells(especially macrophages in smooth muscle),Fibroblast cells,smooth muscle,and blood glucose levels.The primary clinical examination methods includes gastric scintigraphy,13 C actinic acid breath test,wireless capsule endoscope,interdigestive gastrointestinal manometry,ultrasound,electrogastrogram and other modalities,but the golden standard for diagnosis remains gastric scintigraphy.At present,the therapeutic approaches for DGP accentuate on symptomatic controls including antiemetic,prokinetic agent,and nutritional support. |
