Objective To add the potassium titanate whisker modified by the silane coupling agent to the silicone rubber soft lining material with different mass fractions, the composite material was observed on performance test, scanned. To investigate the amount of potassium titanate whisker soft lining material properties change and ultrastructure of silicone rubber, and silicone soft lining materials better clinical application and provide theoretical basis and experimental data. Methods First, used silane coupling agent to obtain surface modification of potassium titanate whisker, and the surface-modified potassium titanate whiskers were added to the silicone rubber soft lining material at a mass ratio of 1%,2%,3%,4%,5%,and the silicone rubber soft lining as a blank control group, fully mixed into the pre-prepared metal mold, according to the experimental requirements made of different specifications of the specimen. The same mass fraction was recorded as a group,a total of 6 groups, each group made 5 specimens, the addition of different mass fraction of potassium titanate whiskers in each group of 5 pieces of performance testing, the production of 150 specimens.Requirements of the specimen surface is intact, smooth and free of bubbles and impurities, after the preparation, the samples are soaked in sterile artificial saliva and stored for 24 hours under the condition of 37?.The test items included the following: The Shore hardness of each group was tested by Shore A hardness tester. The tensile strength and bond strength of the composites were tested by means of microcomputer control universal mechanical testing machine. The tensile elongation is calculated by the tensile strength. Each group of specimens were immersed in artificial saliva for 7 days,15 days,30 days later, calculate the water absorption and dissolution rate. The dispersion of whiskers in the fracture surface of the specimen was observed by scanning electron microscopy.Through the comprehensive analysis of the test results,it was found that the effect of potassium titanate whisker on the properties of silicone rubber soft lining material and the best proportion of the performance.Result1.With reference to the relevant indicators, shore hardness value increases with the increase of the amount of calcium titanate whisker, and the tensile strength, tensile elongation and bond strength increase first and then decrease. When the peak amount of potassium titanate whisker was 4%,comprehensive mechanical properties reach the best state.2.With the extension of time, the water absorption of the silicone rubber lining in the artificial saliva increased firstly and then decreased, while the dissolution rate increased. In the same time period, there was no significant change in water absorption and dissolution rate compared with the control group for each experimental group with different proportions of potassium titanate whiskers.3.SEM observation of the specimen section, found that potassium titanate whisker fraction less than 3%,the whiskers were sparsed and scattered. When the addition ratio of potassium titanate whisker is 4%,the whiskers were widely dispersed and dispersed uniformly,no winding reunion.when the addition ratio was increased to 5%,whisker dispersed in silicone soft lining become worse, and the degree of polymerization become higher. Conclusion The mass ratio of potassium titanate whiskers is 4%,the test items of the composites reach the optimum state. At this time, the dispersions of the whiskers in the silicone rubber soft lining materials are also good, and there is no obvious agglomeration.Which facilitates the transfer of the strength between the silicone rubber soft lining material and the whisker reinforcement.
