Extremely low frequency electromagnetic field(ELF EMF)has both beneficial and harmful effects on living organism.If the weak magnetic signal works as a kind of exogenous stimulus information,to understand its energy coupling mechanism with cell and illuminate the essence about effects of electromagnetic field on living organism or cell from producing multifarious biological behaviors,it is necessary to connect with cell signaling transduction network that determines cell fate.On a basis of regulatory pathway related to albumen that is sensitive in electromagnetic field,this paper gives researches on signal processing characters of relevant pathway from the perspective of system,and this paper discusses the energy coupling mechanism between electromagnetic field and cell,including following several steps:1?Establish the model of ERK pathwayMAPK/ERK pathway is selected as research object by studying those existing literatures about relevant signal transduction pathway that is sensitive to electromagnetic field,and the structural model is built upon the method of systems biology.The mathematical model is built in the form of differential equations by Michaelis-Menten equation.The model parameters can be acquired from released data or estimated by available software package.2?Signal amplification and specificity research of MAPK/ERK pathway(1)Signal amplification researchRegarding Ras_GTP as the input of the system,ERK_pp as the output of the system,the input-output relationship is studied in MATLAB based on the built model.The result indicates that the concentration change percentage of output information has a preferable linear amplification relation with that of input information,which can transform biochemical signal that has lower energy into the physiological reaction that requires higher energy.(2)Research on specificityBased on the sharing function of ERK in delivering information in MAPK/ERK pathway,the dynamics change is studied under the action of different stimulus signals in its upper stream.The simulation result of MATLAB indicates that diverse dynamics changes will be presented to ensure the specificity delivery of signal when the sharing signal molecules are activated by signals that change slowly and instantly in the upper stream.3?Sensitivity analysis of modelThe sensitivity analysis method is utilized to study model's parameters effect on system output and find out the biochemical reaction process and protein.The result turns out that the decrease of protein activity is the main reason for the output of the system,which leads to the non thermal biological effect,and irrelevant to biochemical reaction during the deactivation process.
