Onychomycosis is the most common dematopathya.The main pathogens of onychomycosis include dermatophytes,yeasts and other mould(also called nondermatophyte moulds).Laboratory tests for the diagnosis of onychomycosis include direct microscopy,culture,histopathological examination,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and PCR technique.The common treatment of onychomycosis can be divided into topical antifungal agents,physiotherapy,systemic phaemacotherapy and combined therapy.The expansion of the diagnosis of fungal infections in recent years has improved the correct diagnostic rate of onychomycosis,and at the same time also makes the clinical workers to master its component ratio of the pathogen and the new tendency of epidemiology.The level of the treatment of onychomycosis has been further improved,due to the development of physiotherapy and the success experience of combined thepapy.This article summarized the research progress of onychomycosis.
