| Objective: To explore the characteristics of EEG in children with tic disorder, difference of EEG abnormality in different gender and age,and to compare the difference between the performance of video EEG and the common electroencephalogram in tic disorder. Methods: Analyzing general informationour of children with tic disorders, which visiting our hospital from January 2014 to January 2017 and have finished EEG examnation, and this general information including gender、Age(divided into preschool, preschool, school age, adolescence)and EEG results(divided into normal, background and epileptiform discharges),Compared with the differences of EEG abnormalities in children with tic disorder at different ages and genders, and compared with the differences of video EEG and normal EEG in children with tic disorder.Results:(1)A total of 6887 patients with tic disorders were included in the study, the average age was 7.13±2.544 years old, male to female ratio was 3.97:1,the total abnormal rate of EEG was 7.56%,which accounted for 2.18% of abnormal background, epileptic discharge accounted for 6.4%,both two accounted for 1.02%,suggesting that epileptiform discharge was the most EEG anomalies in children with tic disorder.(2)Epileptic discharge in the temporal region was 61%,the top was 31.52%,Central District was 26.08%,23.13% and 20.43% in occipital region and frontal region, suggesting that the epileptiform discharge was mainly located in the temporal region; In epileptic discharge, bilateral discharge was 37.41%,unilateral discharge was 62.59%,suggesting that the unilateral discharge was in main.(3)The total abnormal rate of female children was 8.95%,of which 2.89% was abnormal background,7.14% was epileptic discharge, and in male patients, the total abnormal rate was 7.22%,of which 2% was abnormal background,6.22% was epileptic discharge, suggesting that there was no significant difference in the rate of abnormal background and epileptiform discharge between male and female.(4)The average age of the normal group was 7.16±2.570 years old,the average age of the epileptic discharge group was 6.86± 2.23 years old,and the average age of the background anomaly group was 6.79±2.56,The age of epileptic discharge group was younger than that of normal group, the difference was statistically significant. The abnormal rate of abnormal background and epileptic discharge in young children were 3.85% and 4.54%,and the rate of abnormal background in preschool group was 3.99%,epileptic discharge was 7.04%,in school-age and adolescent children, the rate of background abnormal in school age was 0.86%,epileptic discharge was 6.29%,the rate of abnormal background in puberty was 0%,epileptic discharge was 4.69%.the rate of background abnormality in preschool was higher than other groups, the difference was statistically significant. There was no significant difference in epileptic discharge rate between each group.(5)Routine EEG examination, the total abnormal rate was 6.92%,the background of abnormal accounted for 1.94%,and the epileptic discharge accounted for 6.04%,while the video EEG,the abnormal rate was 9.74%,abnormal background accounted for 2.99%,accounted for 7.64% of the epileptic discharge, video EEG abnormal rate and epileptiform discharge rate were higher than that of the conventional EEG,the differences are significant.Conclusion:(1)The abnormal rate of EEG in children with tic disorders as high as 7.56%,mainly for abnormal epileptic discharge, accounting for 6.4%,mainly located in the temporal area, the rate of epileptiform discharge was the same with normal children;(2)There was no significant difference in the rate of epileptiform discharge and abnormal background in children with tic disorder between male and famale;(3)The highest rate of background abnormality in preschool children with tic disorder;(4)The sensitivity of video EEG was better than that of ordinary EEG。... |
