Can IT And ISQ Reflect Primary Stability Of Dental Implant?

Objective: By researching the ability resisting micromotion under force of dental implants which with different insertion torque(IT)and implant stability quotient(ISQ)values,analysis whether IT and ISQ can reflect dental implant primary stability,and whether there is a correlation between IT and ISQ.Methods: 24 cow ribs were divided into horizontal loading group and vertical loading group randomly.Then inserted the implant in every cow rib with 7 different set torques and measured the ISQ values.Well placed on the abutment and all-ceramic crown,each group loaded horizontally and vertically separately until the micromotion reached to 150 um,then recorded the force values.Results:In each group,both IT and ISQ had no significant correlation with implant primary stability(P>0.05).While in the same sample,IT and ISQ may had significant correlation with implant primary stability under certain conditions.IT and ISQ were not necessarily related.Conclusion: IT and ISQ can reflect dental implant primary stability under certain conditions,both IT and ISQ were not necessarily reflect dental implant primary stability,IT and ISQ were not necessarily related.
