Objective:The patients who had been treated in our department were followed up by telephone. The patients who had been treated with MED and LD were summarized to understand the treatment process and the final recovery effect of the two groups. Methods:Analysis of 90 patients with LDH from 2014 to 2015 in Changzhi Municipal People's Hospital of Shanxi province in the year of January to the year of October. Before operation, the 90 patients were examined by DR,spiral CT and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),to ensure that the clinical manifestations of the patients in the group and the positive signs of physical examination were consistent with the auxiliary examinations of the 3 groups.Diagnostic criteria: 1 lumbar tenderness,at the same time paravertebral tenderness, and limb pain.2 there was pain or numbness in the area of the sciatic nerve, and the straight leg raising test was positive. There are 3 limbs by great toe dorsiflexion or plantarflexion strength weakened, nerve and the corresponding control areas of abnormal feeling. The physiological reflex weakened in the corresponding innervation phase.4 the results of CT/MRI examination were consistent with clinical data. The two groups of patients were treated from January 2014 to July 2015 in Shanxi,Changzhi, the second people's Hospital, and the patients in the two groups were selected according to the diagnostic criteria of LDH patients. These patients were divided into 2groups: LD group and MED group. In the specific work,we recorded the length of the incision, the time of the operation, the amount of bleeding in the operation, the length of hospital stay, and the JOA score of the two groups. And I recorded the patient's JOA score before and after treatment, and compared the effects of the surgery and postoperative treatment, and the JOA score. Results:All 90 patients were followed up for 1 years. Two groups of patients with surgical indicators: the length of the incision, the operation time, the amount of bleeding in the operation, and hospitalization time were statistically significant differences. The JOA score of patients receiving MED 2 weeks after surgery was higher than that in group LD,but there was no significant difference in the JOA score between the two groups after surgery for the last 1 years. The above mentioned differences through the detailed analysis of the data, have statistical significance.(P<0.05)Conclusion:Through the research of this subject,it can be concluded that the MED operation is more effective than the traditional open surgery, such as small incision, less bleeding, fewer days of hospitalization, faster postoperative recovery, and higher JOA score. However, there was no significant difference in JOA score and clinical efficacy after operation. For MED,we should master the indications and contraindications of the operation,so as to make it more reasonable for patients with lumbar disc herniation.
