ObjectiveStress urinary incontinence(SUI)is a common disease of women, the treatment of SUI includes non-surgical treatment and surgical treatment, patients with mild to moderate SUI mainly select non-surgical treatment, patients with moderate to severe SUI or those who had bad experience in non-surgical treatment would select surgical treatment.Currently, evaluation of the therapeutic effectis still based on physicians conclusions,However,SUI as a chronic disease, some objective indicators are not sensitive in the evaluation, the doctors ' conclusion tend to underestimate the treatment effect,so the patients reported outcome which focuses on the measurements of the patients' subjective feelings is particularly important. But up to now, research about patients reported outcomes of SUI is still blank,so our study introduce the "The Incontinence Outcome Questionnaire" scale to China through internationally localization program, and assess the reliability and validity through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. We also preliminary application it in patient with SUI to measuring the treatment effect and to compare patients outcomes with doctors' outcomes to verify this scale's applicability. Our study aim to obtain a comprehensive outcome through combining the outcome of patients and doctors.Methods1.After obtaining authorization professor bjelic-radisic,we introduce the "The Incontinence Outcome Questionnaire" scale to China through internationally localization program, and assess the reliability and validity through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.2.Application the Chinese Version of the Incontinence Outcome Questionnaire in SUI Explore the patient reported outcomes of 101 SUI patients in 3 hospitols, tai an city and compare the outcomes with physicians' to verify this scale's applicability.Results1.Formed a Chinese version of stress urinary incontinence reported Outcome Scale(IOQ).The IOQ consists of 21 items,3 subscales: quality of life(7 items,2?3?4?7?9?10?11)?satisfaction(5 items,8?12?13?14?15)and Symptoms – Complications(5 items,1?6?16?17?18),1 single question(5),and 3 non-scoring questions(19-21).The scale' Cronbach's Alpha totle and 3 subscales' coefficient was 0.868?0.778?0.827?0.640,and the test-retest reliability wan 0.800.2.The results of patients reported outcomes(PRO)of patients was acceptable: average scale score of IOQ was 26.63±15.82,the average score of quality of life?satisfaction and Symptoms – Complications subscale was 32.19±21.36?22.03 ±14.27?23.44±15.83;the assessment of patient' and physicians' were different(?2=14.78,p < 0.05);Patients' aseessment correlated more strongly with scores of IOQ the physicians'(r=0.37 versus r=0.12).Conclusion1.The Chinese version of the IOQ has good reliability and validity, and it was suitable for the SUI patients in China.2.The assessments of treatment effect were different between physicians and patients with SUI,and patients' assessment appear to be more positive than physicians',physicians' outcomes tend to underestimate the effect. In conclusion, our study suggests that health-care professionals should combine the outcome of patients and dortors,so can be obtained a more comprehensive and objective assessment.
