Objective:To explore the application of comprehensive simulation experiment teaching in experimental teaching of nursing for Midwifery,using the comprehensive laboratory of midwifery instead of the traditional experiment teaching method.Comparing the two different experimental teaching methods of teaching effect,analysis of comprehensive simulation teaching method on student achievement,critical thinking ability and communication ability of nurses and patients,find out the problems of comprehensive simulation teaching method and the future of the views and suggestions on construction of the comprehensive laboratory of midwifery.Methods:This study is from tianjin medical university school of nursing undergraduate class of 2005-2013 Grade as the research object,according to the four/five years and grouping teaching outline.(1)The professional direction of midwifery using comprehensive simulation teaching method(2007-2008,2009-2012 and2013 Grade)as the experimental group,and the traditional teaching method(2005-2006 Grade)as the control group;Statistics the performance scores,experimental results,theoretical test scores and total grade of the ?Midwifery?,and the Graduation practice results of Obstetric to compare.(2)The same grades with the traditional teaching method of the nursing professional direction(2009-2012 and 2013 Grade)compare to the professional direction of midwifery using comprehensive simulation teaching method also.The professional direction of midwifery students statistical the average value of "midwifery" and "gynecologic nursing" grade;The nursing professional direction students statistical the "maternity nursing" grade.At the sanme time giving the class of 2013 student two scale assessments and a questionnaire survey.Analysis methods mainly include descriptive statistics,t-test,chi-square test and variance analysis.Data collection adopted a questionnaire and two scale evaluations.They are the researcher designed the comprehensive simulation experiment teaching student questionnaire,the professor peng of Hong Kong polytechnic university translated the ability of Critical Thinking Inventory CTDI-CV(Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version)and the ya-hong xu designed the nursing students Nurse-patient communication ability assessment scale.Results: 1.The comparison of the students' scoreThe scores' of theoretical,skill examination and total scores of the professional direction of midwifery experimental group were much higher than the nursing professional direction students(F=98.437;47.265;52.746,P<0.001).The students graduation practice stage obstetrics of the professional direction of midwifery is higher than that of traditional experimental teaching methods,difference is statistically significant(F=67.581,P<0.001).Midwifery students` scores were higher than nursing students` achievement,the difference is statistically significant(t=2.087,P=0.042;t=2.153,P =0.038).2.The critical thinking abilityCompare the professional midwifery before and after the comprehensive simulation experiment teaching method with the nursing professional direction before and after the traditional experimental teaching method.The result found that the after score were higher than the previous in the two majors(t=16.216?14.398,P<0.001).Between the two majors,the previous critical thinking ability inventory assessment was no statistical significance,but the after time midwifery students score higher than nursing students' score(289.62±22.10 vs 276.95±20.82),statistically significant difference(t=4.286,P=0.001).According to the dimension scores there are three aspects have statistically significant,open mind,analytical ability and cognitive maturity(t=2.093,P=0.041;t=2.210,P=0.035,t=9.539,P<0.001).The students according to the scores of midwifery can be divided into mean above and below the mean group,comparing the d-value before and after taking two critical thinking ability found in open mind,self-confidence,curiosity,the cognitive maturity and total score,statistically significant difference(t=2.416,2.158,2.671,3.014,P<0.05).The professional midwifery students which have positive critical thinking ability tend to be higher than that of nursing students(?2 =4.755,P=0.028).3.Nurse-patient communication abilityThe nurse-patient communication ability of the professional midwifery students after the comprehensive simulation experiment teaching method is higher than the previous(t=2.235,P=0.027).The two of the nursing professional direction score of communication skills assessment had no statistical significance(t=0.398,P=0.739).Between the two majors,the previous Nurse-patient communication ability was no statistical significance,but the after time midwifery students score higher than nursing students' score,statistically significant difference(t=2.199,P=0.031).The three have statistically significant differences were the communication plan and prepare(t=2.103,P=0.039),collect information(t=2.570,P=0.011)and understand the patient's point(t=3.030,P=0.003).The students according to the scores of midwifery can be divided into mean above and below the mean group,comparing the d-value before and after taking two Nurse-patient communication ability found that the difference between the two groups in collecting information,to give information,get understanding the patient's point of view,the end of the communication and total score statistically significant difference(t=2.716,2.148,2.051,2.117,2.104,P<0.05).4.The comprehensive simulation experiment teaching student questionnaire36 questionnaires show that all the students(100%)believe that comprehensive simulation teaching method is more realistic;But 80.56% of the students think that they are not enough doing the preparing before the class and poor in participating in the experiment teaching;In the laboratory construction,83.33% of the students think the test items and equipment are not enough,72.22% and 75% of the students can't satisfy the need of technical operations very well,and 86.11% of the students think that the layout of the lab can also be more reasonable,the regional indicate can be more clearly;In terms of teaching effect,94.44% of the students think comprehensive simulation experimental teaching helps to improve the professional and technical ability of midwifery and the ability of analyzing and resolving problems;100% of the students think that comprehensive simulation experiment teaching can improve the communication skills and their ability of clinical thinking.Conclusion:By using comprehensive simulation teaching method in the experiment teaching of midwifery instruction course practice experiment teaching effect is obvious.Comprehensive simulation experiment teaching method can improve the students' ability to operate the experiment technology and promote mastered the theoretical knowledge,the students' critical thinking ability and communication skills.The future of the views and suggestions of students on construction of the comprehensive laboratory of midwifery are streamlining the preparation before class and case discussion in class,increasing the implementation of the nursing process time,optimizing the laboratory layout,increasing equipment and laboratory model test items and strengthening the teachers team construction,paying attention on the teacher to the student analysis and problem solving ability.
