The occupational health problem at present is considerably serious, with the cases of acute poisoning and occupational diseases rather numerous, which presents an urgency to improve laws, systems and supervision.Ever since the foundation of PRC in 1949, our nation has attached great importance to occupational health, and made historical progress in law &standard-making and theory-exploring ect. However, after the supervision system experienced transform for three times, conditions in occupational health tends to be worse in 1990s, with inadequate laws, systems and supervision, insufficient attention by the enterprises. Some countries has already set up occupational health management structure, by way of formulating laws, regulations and standards and improving consultancy services ect. Especially the laws, supervision and statistics systems in USA and Britain are worth us learning.With the reality in our nation, it is suggested to conduct research international laws on occupational health ,improve our own laws and regulations; to enhance responsibilities of government at all levels, and to judge government in part by how it work on occupational health; to set up and improve the supervision system; to enhance coordination of different departments in law-enforcement; to make enterprises to fulfill their responsibility; to solve the main problems by formulating plans; to give full play to the work injuries insurance in occupational disease prevention ,curing and recovering; to better the overall technique of the professional teams; to set up and improve the prevention &control system, and scientific research mechanism; to form the system for dealing with the serious occupational poisoning; to set up adequate occupational health promotion system; to publicize knowledge on occupational health and disease, so as to upgrade the occupational health work in our nation , improve workers' health and promote the social development.
