Objective:Ring1 and YY1-bing Protein(RYBP)is a member of Polycomb Group(PcG)Proteins family, and play important roles in cancer development and progression. This work was aimed to evaluate the expression of RYBP in Pancreatic Cancer and its correlation with clinicopathological features, and the association of E-cadherin and RYBP expression.Methods:(1)Immunohistochemical technique was used to assess the expression of RYBP protein in Pancreatic Cancer tissues and non-tumor tissues.(2)The association between RYBP expression and clinicopathological features was statistically assessed.(3)Spearman analysis was used to assess the correlation between E-cadherin expression and RYBP expression.Results:(1)The positive rate of RYBP expression in Pancreatic Cancer tissues was significantly lower than that in adjcent non-tumor tissues(P<0.05).(2)The expression of RYBP was strongly linked to tumor size, clinical stage and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05),and no statistically association with gender, age, tumor location, differentiation and vascular invasion(P>0.05).(3)Spearman analysis shows a positive correlation between E-cadherin and RYBP expression.Conlusion: Downregulation of RYBP protein in Pancreatic Cancer is significantly associated with development and progression clinicopathological features like lymph node metastasis and clinical stage. The positive association between the E-cadherin expression and RYBP expression predicted that RYBP promote Pancreatic Cancer development and progression by participating in Pancreatic Cancer EMT progress.
