Investigation And Countermeasure On The Current Situation Of Hand Hygiene In The Third Class Hospitals In Wujiang Area From 2013 To 2014

Objective:The paper took certain third class hospitals in Wujiang district as an example with the research investigated regarding the hand hygiene and hand hygienic knowledge of medical staffs so as to pinpoint the current status of hand hygiene for medical staffs in our hospital and know about the knowledge mastery of hand hygienic.The compliance factors regarding the hand hygiene of medical staff in the hospital were confirmed,hoping for strengthening the consciousness of hand hygiene execution regarding the medical staff in the clinical work so as to control hospital infection rate.Related measures on the improvement of the executive condition in terms of medical staff,hand hygiene accuracy,compliance of the medical staff were discussed so as to provide a scientific basis to formulate a scheme that can reduce the hospital infection rate.Subjects and methods:According to the characteristics of the hospital,the combined investigation of qualitative and quantitative was adopted.The on-the-job medical personnel of various clinical departments from 2013 to 2014 were chosen regarding some third class hospitals in Wujiang district.355 medical staffs were drawn by stratified sampling to carry out on-site inspection and questionnaire survey of hand hygiene so as to effectively investigate 352 medical staff with 352 questionnaires withdrawn.The hand hygiene performance of the respondents was known with related measures formulated regarding the current status of hand hygiene,the knowledge mastery of hand hygiene and compliance factors that affect hand hygiene.Results: The average hand hygiene of hand hygiene was 59.91% from 2013 to 2014 in the third class hospital and the overall level was low.There hand hygiene compliance showed the differences regarding medical staff with different genders,positions,titles,educations,departments and hand hygiene indications;in a mass,the accuracy rate of the medical staffs' knowledge towards hygienic knowledge was high with the knowledge accuracy rate towards three hand hygiene indication up to 100%.Among the factors that influence the hand hygiene compliance factor of hand hygiene for medical staffs,the ratio of “individual didn't pay much attention to hand washing or drying at work,forgetting it all the time” accounted for 58.24%.Conclusion: The overall hand hygiene compliance of medical staff was low with high awareness rate of opponents regarding hand hygienic knowledge.It should be alerted to nosocomial infection administrators that the management of hand sanitary conditions should be strictly strengthened,and the awareness of nosocomial infection for medical staffs should be enhanced with strategic measures formulated so as to lower hospital infection rate.
