Objective: To investigate the level of vitamin D in pregnant women in Urumqi area, analyze its factors, explore the relationship between vitamin D level and the birth outcome and provide scientific reference for health care and reproductive health of pregnant women. Methods: 846 pregnant women were selected as research subject by random number table who visited to a 3A-level General Hospital of Urumqi from January 2017 to July 2017.The neonatal outcome information was recorded by the maternal and infant health record table.Peripheral blood sample of pregnant women was used to detect blood routine test, serum vitamin D,blood lipid, blood glucose and thyroid function.Statistical analysis was conducted by SPSS 17.0 software package. The main methods included: t-test,ANOVA test and linear correlation analysis.Results:(1)The average vitamin D level of 846 pregnant women in Urumqi was(16.33±7.09)ng/l,of which only 4.0 % of pregnant women were in normal level,70.0 % of pregnant women were lack of vitamin D.(2)The difference of vitamin D level between ?25years and ?30years was statistically significant(P<0.05);Han pregnant women had the highest level of vitamin D,followed by other ethnic groups,Uygur group and Kazak group.Compared with Kazak group, the differences among other group had statistic significance(P<0.05).The differences among Han group, other ethnic groups and Uygur were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The average exposure time of pregnant women for more than 60 minutes, vitamin D supplementation for more than 6 months pregnant women with higher vitamin D levels, the distribution of vitamin D levels among the differences, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no significant difference in the distribution of vitamin D among groups with different BMI,household address, cultural level, family income, smoking and drinking during pregnancy, and the difference of vitamin D in different groups(P>0.05).(3)There was no correlation between the changes of blood glucose, blood lipid, blood routine index and vitamin D level.(4)The level of vitamin D during pregnancy is associated with the incidence of neonatal chest circumference and preterm birth, the higher the vitamin D level, the larger the chest circumference of the offspring; The level of vitamin d in pregnant women was significantly lower than that in normal birth weight/full term infants. Conclusion: The prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in pregnant women in Urumqi area, the extension of daily average sunshine time during pregnancy, the timely supplementation of vitamin d supplementation to improve the level of vitamin d in pregnant women, and the correlation between vitamin d levels during pregnancy and the chest circumference and preterm birth, appropriate vitamin d nutritional status during pregnancy may help improve the birth outcome.
