| Objective: This study is to investigate the current status and future direction of the diagnosis and treatment model of multidisciplinary team consultation, and the impact of MDT model on the surgical resection rate, disease free survival and the satisfaction of colorectal cancer patients with liver metastasis. Methods: After theoretical endeavors,we retrospectively reviewed the charts of colorectal cancer patients either with or without MDT consultation from Jaunary,2011 to December,2013.The R0 resection rate, survival rate and the satisfaction of patients were compared between the two groups. Results: The R0 resection rate of the patients with MDT consultation was 29.6%,and 19.6% of patients without MDT consultation(P<0.05).The two-year disease free survival rate of the patients with MDT consultation was 63.2%,and 43.3% of patients without MDT consultation. The satisfaction of patients was 96.3%,and 74.5% of patients without MDT consultation. Conclusions: Standard MDT model can improve the R0 resection rate and survival of colorectal cancer patients with liver metastasis and warrant promotion. The problems remain during the clinical application of MDT consultation and improvement warranted. |
