Objective:To further confirm the positive relationship between the risk classification of essential hypertension and the degree of arteriosclerosis,and to compare the sensitivity of the arteriosclerosis detector and Doppler ultrasound in the detection of essential hypertension arteriosclerosis.To provide clinical basis for early detection of cardiovascular disease.Methods:Selected 75 hypertension patients for treatment or hospitalization in the outpatient department of University Hospital of Hubei University for Nationalities randomly,According to the classification of hypertension divided them into 3 groups:23 cases of hypertension group 1;27 cases of hypertension of grade 2;25 cases of hypertension groups 3.These 75 patients tested for arteriosclerosis and blood lipids were measured at the same time(include TC,TG,HDL-C,and LDL-C).We used an arteriosclerosis detector to test the brachial pulse wave velocity(ba PWV);and then used Doppler color Doppler ultrasound to test the carotid artery medial thickness(IMT)at the same time.We also tested blood lipids simultaneously.We compared the differences of blood lipids,ba PWV,and IMT among the 3 groups,and compared the sensitivity between arteriosclerosis detector and Doppler ultrasound.At last we compared the results of these 75 patients with the 25 cases health people in the same period who went to University Hospital of Hubei University for Nationalities for physical examination.We used SPSS 13.0 software for statistical and analysis of data.Results:1?The abnormal rate of IMT in hypertension group was significantly higher than that in non-hypertension group.The comparison between the above groups was significant.2?The ba PWV of patients with grade 3 hypertension is higher than the patients with grade 2 hypertension,The IMT of patients with grade 3 hypertension is higher than the patients with grade 2 hypertension.The ba PWV of patients with grade 2hypertension is higer than the patients with grade 1 hypertension,The IMT of patients3?with grade 2 hypertension is higher than the patients with grade 1hypertension.The ba PWV of patients with grade 3 hypertension is higher than the patients with grade 1 hypertension,The IMT of patients with grade 3 hypertension is higher than the patients with grade 1 hypertension,There was statistical significance between the above groups.4?With increasing of age,the value of ba PWV and IMT also increased.4?The sensitivity of ba PWV is 96.00% and the sensitivity of IMT is 90.67%.It can be considered that the sensitivity of ba PWV is higher than IMT.Conclusions:The degree of arteriosclerosis in patients with essential hypertension was significantly higher than the healthy people without hypertension,and the higher the grade of hypertension was,the higher IMT and PWV was.The sensitivity of arteriosclerosis detector in detecting early atherosclerosis is higher than the Doppler ultrasound.
