Callicarpa nudiflora,a member of the genus Callicarpa?verbenaceae family?.It is a famous folk medicine in Hainan province,and it has been mainly used for gastrointestinal bleeding,inflammation,rheumatism,menoxenia,scrofula and burns,etc.The chemical constituents of the methanol extract of the leaves of Callicarpa nudiflora,were investigated using chromatographic methods such as silica gel column chromatography,ODS column chromatography,and semi-preparative HPLC,leading to the isolation of 26 compounds from the petroleum ether soluble part finally.The structures of these compounds were determined via spectral data and physic-chemical evidence,such as HRESIMS,NMR,CD,IR,and Mosher data analysis.The 26 compounds are as follows:nudiflopene A?1?,nudiflopene B?2?,nudiflopene C?3?,nudiflopene D?4?,nudiflopene E?5?,nudiflopene F?6?,nudiflopene G?7?,nudiflopene H?8?,nudiflopene I?9?,ent-12,15-epoxy-3,4-seco-4,8,12,14-labdatetraen-3-oicacid?10?,12E-3,4-seco-labda-4?18?,8?17?,12,14-tetraen-3-oicacidmethylester?11?,12E-3,4-seco-labda-4?18?,8?17?,12,14-tetraen-3-oic acid?12?,14?-hydroxy-7,15-isopimaradien-l8-oic acid?13?,isopimaric acid?14?,14?-hydroxymethylester-7,15-isopimaradien-l8-oicacid?15?,?3R,4R,5R?-5-Hydroxy-caryophyll-8?13?-ene3,4-epoxide?16?,7,8-epoxy-1?12?-caryophy-9?-ol?17?,kobusone?18?,caryophyllenol-??19?,humulene diepoxide A?20?,caryolane-1,9?-diol?21?,caryolane-1?,9?-diol?22?,?-?-clovane-2,9-diol?23?,pubinernoid A?24?,sesamin?25?,paulownin?26?.Among them,compound 1—9were new compounds,and the compounds 10—15 were isolated from Callicarpa nudiflora for the first time.Accoding to the pharmacological activities of Callicarpa nudiflora in previous study,nine new compounds?1—9?from Callicarpa nudiflora were evaluated for their potential to inhibit LPS-induced nitric oxide production in BV-2 cells.Compound 6 and 9 exhibited the inhibitory effect with IC50 values of 28.09?M and23.31?M.To explore the potential mechanism of NO inhibition and the interactions of these bioactive compounds with iNOS protein,the molecular docking studies were performed.Ligularia fischeri,belonging to the genus Ligularia?Compositae family?,is distributed widely in China and Japan,and it has been used for inflammation,immunity,etc.The chemical constituents of the methanol extract of the roots of Ligularia fischeri,were investigated using chromatographic methods such as silica gel column chromatography,ODS column chromatography,and semi-preparative HPLC,11compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate soluble part finally.The structures of these compounds were determined via NMR data analysis.The 11 compounds are as:15-hydroxydehydroabietic acid?1?,7?-hydroxydehydroabietie acid?2?,junicedric acid?3?,?13S?-15-hydroxylubd-8?17?-en-19-oic acid?4?,?11S?-1?-hydroxyeudesm-4?14?-eno-13,6?-lactone?5?,11?,13-dihydro-3-pizaluzanin C?6?,dihydroestafiatol?7?,dihydroestafiatone?8?,caryolane-1,9?-diol?10?,?-?-clovane-2,9-diol?11?.All of them were known compounds.
