| Objective To compare the expression differences of the drug-resistance-related genes between triple-negative breast cancer and non-triple-negative breast cancer in cancer tissues and its clinical significance. Methods The patients from January 2011 to June 2012 in Ningxia Medical University General Hospital Cancer Hospital are admitted to meet the inclusion criteria of 380 cases of female breast cancer patients, aged 29-78 years, with a median age of 48 years.According to the patient’s medical records data, the clinical data of all patients were analyzed,Such as general conditions(name, gender, age, ethnicity, admission time, clinical diagnosis of admission),pathological diagnosis report(including tumor size, tumor pathological stage, lymph node metastasis, presence or absence of vascular cancer emboli and ER,PR,Her-2,P170,GST-π,TOPO-II positive cell ratio and staining intensity),treatment methods(galactorrhea, radical mastectomy, modified radical mastectomy),recurrence, metastasis(pulmonary, bone, brain, liver, etc.)and survival status, etc.including 65 cases of triple-negative breast cancer,315 cases of non-triple-negative breast cancer,343 cases of invasive breast cancer and 37 cases of non-invasive carcinoma.Statistics P170,GST-π,TOPO-II expression in triple-negative breast cancer and non-triple negative breast cancer.According to the follow-up data, the 5-year disease-free survival rate of the two groups were calculated. Results The two groups were different in the age of disease(P=0.014),tumor size(P=0.020),lymph node metastasis(P=0.016),vascular tumor embolus(P=0.004),Overall tumor recurrence and metastasis rate(P=0.019)and 5-year survival rate(P=0.019),and the pathological type of tumor(P=0.758).There was no difference in surgical procedures(P=0.945),bone metastasis(P=0.899),liver metastasis(P=0.995),and brain metastases(P=0.261).The positive rates of P170,GST-π and TOPO-II in triple-negative breast cancer and non-triple negative breast cancer were 42(64.6%),41(63.1%),31(47.7%)and 184(58.4%),132(41.9%)and 161(51.1%)respectively.The positive rates of GST-π in TNBC group were higher than those in non-TNBC group(P <0.05),P170,TOPO-II expression rates were similar in TNBC and non-TNBC,the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).Patients with TNBC had lower 5-year disease-free survival and worse prognosis than non-TNBC patients. Conclusion Patients with TNBC have a younger age than non-TNBC,large tumor size, early lymph node metastasis, high metastasis, high degree of malignancy, and poor clinical prognosis. The high expression of GST-π in breast cancer tissues may be related to the poor prognosis of TNBC.There is no significant difference in the expression of P170 and TOPO-II between TNBC and non-TNBC. |
