Developing until now, with the unique artistic style, Tujia's novels have become China's important literary scene that should not be ignored. By drawing on Western literature techniques and exploring innovation on Chinese traditional novel narrative approach, the Tujia's novels are noted for the distinctive ethnic characteristics and the diversity of narrative characteristics. This current thesis excavates the novel's narrative connotation deeply from the perspective of narratology. And then the flexibility and versatility of narrative approaches are fully demonstrated.The current thesis begins with the introduction. Firstly, the general development situationof Tujia's novels is introduced. And then some influential writers and their works are still selected to discuss briefly. In the meantime, a detailed summary of Tujia's narrative novels research is presented in this article. At last, the innovation places will be highlighted while the deficiencies of the current study are summarized as well.Chapter one is about the authors' vivid narrative attitudes that in Tujia's novels.It is the writers' inner sense of social responsibility and sense of urgency that prompted them to respond positively to the social reality. They review and criticize national stereotypes. They try to find and construct the modern civilization. And they are trying to keep and develop the national virtues.Chapter two describes the unique narrative perspectives of Tujia's novels.Referring to Yang Yi's classification criteria for narrative perspectives, and combining with the Tujia's novels, this article digs into the social and folk images as well as Tujia spirits, beliefs and history in the myth images.Tujia's novels multidimensional narrative perspectives are showed in chapter three. Choosing the right perspective is very important for the success of novels,therefore, the creators of Tujia's novels were active in exploration and innovation. By switching from the different perspectives, they give readers a different kind ofaesthetic experience. Taking the narrative subject as the basis as classification and according to the specific novel texts, Tujia's novels' narrativeperspective may divide into three categories: the animals' the children' and the sorcerers'. The creators may observe and study the world from the perspective of animals or children, trying to establish harmonious ecological ideals, show the real trauma andto present the history burdens that hider the national modernization processChapter four is about the Tujia's novels' varied narrative languages. Narrative language is not only the Narrator's behavioral tool to describe but also a bridge to connect the writers with readers, and also an important way to realize textual constitutes. The novel narrative languages could be divided into descriptive language and character language. Summarizing the important aesthetic characteristics of Tujia's narrative language, the current study aims to highlight the great value of poetic words in creating a poetic environment and the dialect in highlighting the characters.
