| The present report is directed on the translation of the Vanishing Cultural Relics in China: Ancient Canals, Chapter Two. As the growth of cross-cultural communication, the going-out of Chinese cultural works becomes an urgent need. Furthermore, although non-literary translation is not a focus in learning, it represents more than half of actual translation activities. And its selection of translation strategies and methods is quite different from literary translation. This article aims to explore the selection of translation method and improve the quality of the translation and translation level of the translator, and provide a reference for other translators.This report consists of four chapters. Chapter one is a brief summary of the translation project. Chapter two describes the translation process, including the introduction of the source text and the preparation. Chapter three relates to the difficult points as well as the guiding theory, and summarizes the translation methods employed in this practice. The last chapter concludes the teachings and unsolved problems of this translation. |
