Culture is closely relative to language, language is a part of culture and it is a carrier of culture as well. As an effective approach, teaching Chinese to speakers of other language could positively impact on the spread of Chinese culture to the outside world. Then, the urban internationalization would also be driven by the progress of this kind of Chinese education. Hence, it has significant influence to apply the regional culture to the courses of teaching Chinese as a second language.In this research, the questions about how to collect and use Wuhan local culture, how to apply Wuhan local resources into of Chinese international education and, eventually, how to seed up the development of urban internationalization in Wuhan through teaching Chinese as a second language will be discussed. After that, the study will lay out a certain amount of typical resources of Wuhan local culture and make propositions about the methods of integrating the local culture resources with the Chinese language education. Then, in the last part of this research, a teaching plan will indicate a practical application of the “Water Culture” in Wuhan into a course of teaching Chinese as a second language.
