Hu Feng studied in Japan between 1929 and 1933,and it was from that period that he began to accept Marxism and Marxist theoretical thought of literature and art and started his propagation of Marxist theory of literature.After reviewing the related theoretical studies on Hu Feng and Marxist literature,the author realizes that the research on the relationship between Hu Feng's oversea study experience in Japan and his deeds on theoretical spread is relatively rare.Based on the analysis of Hu Feng's experience abroad and his literary and artistic practice at home,the author aims to conduct a diachronic research on the relationship between the formation process of Hu Feng's literary thoughts and his inheritance and use for reference of Marx and Engel's thoughts and Lu Xun's "National Character Reform" theory.This research is trying to provide a clear perspective and help to lead a radical reform on the current reflection of Marxist literary theory,realism theory and other relevant studies.Hu feng constructed a set of realistic theory characterizing "Subjective Fighting Spirit",in which he bears the idea that literary creation and literary criticism should be based on the objective reality,and the writer's perceptual processing on texts should not be neglected meanwhile.He claimed that literary works were created for the people,and should also be evaluated by demotic,historical and aesthetic standards.Therefore Hu innovatively emphasized that literary creation should reflect the writer's feelings,which broke the stereotype of previous realism.His literary practice and his controversy with Zhou Yang on the basic point of view of realism,objectively expanded the influence of Marxist literary theory in China and promoted the diversification and popularization of Marxist theory of literature and art.However,Hu's realism literary thought also hits on the imprint of the times,thus showing the limitations of its own,as the Theory of Reflection,has a negative impact on the Chinese literary theory and literary and artistic creation.The history of the development of literature and art shows that the highest standard of literary creation is aesthetic,and the aesthetic value of literature and art cannot be separated from the revelation of the good in the real life.To grasp the basic characteristics and aesthetic rules of literature and art will be the inevitable requirement of the development of literature and art.By revealing his acceptance and dissemination process of Marxist theory of literature and art,studying the basis of his realistic literary theory,reflecting the modern value his realismtheory,will help people re-recognize the significance of the realism theory of literary to artistic creation,restore the original appearance of the Marxist theory of literature and art,and lead people to have a rational and radical understanding of the problems such as literature and politics,literature and reality,etc.
