A first grade is the early stage that the children receive formal school education,playing a key role in the entire process of children's growth. Facing the new environment, strange peers and teacher, children who has just enrolled in grade one are easy to be nervous and maladjusted. Especially for shy children, whose characteristic of personality is outstanding. For example, shy children who characterized by social withdrawal, seldom take initiative to make friends with others,and they try to avoid group activities, which makes them lose the possibility of building relationships with others, so it is more likely for them to experience the loneliness; In unfamiliar situations, shy individuals behave very uncomfortable and get used to hold negative evaluation about themselves; Shy children generally quiet,and they are not good at expressing themselves. This kind of behavior reaction make it impossible for them to show a real self, and bring negative effect on their personality development. It is those personality characteristics of shy children that makes them more likely to have school maladjustment. If they are not paid attention,school maladjustment will bring them serious negative effect, such as studies,behavior, psychology and so on. Therefore, it is necessary for us to discuss the present situation of shy children' s school adjustment. By analysing the related factors, we can put forward some targeted strategies to help them to adapt to school life better.This research adopts qualitative method to study school adjustment condition of shy children in grade one. Specific research process is as follows:(1) By parents and teachers filling in the questionnaire, select and determine 10 shy children as the object of study.(2) Two weeks of school, using the method of observation and interview method to collect qualitative data. Researchers make a month-long classroom observation(twice a week, 40 minutes each time) on the 10 shy children, and by looking at the table to record their specific performance of their academic adjustment.(3) Practice a month or so, interviewing their teachers and parents and eventuallyformed a 36928- word interview data.(4) Using the grounded theory to code and analysis qualitative data, and finally formed three themes: grade one shy children's school adjustment problems; The influence factors of grade one shy children's school adjustment; Promote the grade one shy children's school adjustment strategy.This study makes an observation about 10 shy children and interviews their teachers and parents. After sorting out and analyzing the observation records and interview data, finally gets the following conclusion:1. Compared with normal children, the possibility of school maladjustment will be bigger and more serious for the shy children in grade one; Besides, it will be longer for them to adapt to the school life; The school maladjustment includes several aspects, such as academic adjustment, emotional adjustment, interpersonal adjustment,behavior adjustment and school attitude. Moreover, it has some unique group characteristics.2. The factors influencing shy children's school adjustment is relatively complex,including shy children's individual factors and environmental factors. And individual factors involves four aspects: physical, cognitive, emotional and behavior, including attribution way, self-concept, emotion regulation strategies, social withdrawal and so on. Environmental factors includes strange environment stimulation, teachers management style, peer relationship, family upbringing and so on. Among them, shy personality traits is the core of the community school maladjustment.3. To help shy children in grade one adapt to school life better, this research mainly put forward some corresponding strategies from family and school two aspects.
