The Soft Film In The Modern Perspective

�Soft film�,relative to the social background of 1930 s,seems to be quite reversed to the trend of the times.However,from the perspective of art,there are some aesthetic values in their concepts,which do have a positive influence,to a certain extent,on the progress and development of the filmdom in 1930 s.Focusing on the aesthetic perspective and tracing to its source,this article gives a detailed introduction of the related social background,the ideological and cultural background at that time and the details about the �battle between soft film and hard film�,based on this,to dissect the �soft film� theory from the perspectives of the movie noumenon,aesthetic value and social value.In addition,the visual impact and entertainment function,which are emphasized in the current film creation,happens to be in accordance with the concepts advocated by the �soft film� theory.Besides,oriented by commerce,the film creation has gradually fallen into a situation of excessive visual impact and superficial entertainment,which would lead the film industry astray soon.If it overemphasizes the visual and entertainment function but neglects the interior artistic rules,the film industry would eventually go into a wrong path.Thus,with the standpoint of meta,we are supposed to look at �soft film� in a rational perspective: on one hand,to dig out the its values in realm of art;on the other hand,to find out the defects of the �soft film� theory,and to review the weaknesses of the current film creation and criticism,avoiding homology and vulgarization;then from the history,to figure out the solutions to the current dilemma;finally,to analyze the significance of the historical connection between �soft film� and the present film industry.The paper gives a detailed introduction to the historical process of the battle between �soft film� and �hard film�,and an analysis of �soft film� from the perspective of film noumenon.Through further exploration of the soft film concepts,combining the current film development situation,the dissertation reveals the internal connection between soft film and the commercial economy background,and the metaphor of �soft film� under this background.Futhermore,through the �soft film� theory,the paper discusses the solutions to the current dilemma of the film industry,and also,probes the enlightenments that �soft film� theory advocates,discuss the significance of �soft film� toward the current film industry.
