The history of Zhoushan Islands is the history of splendid marine culture, which the history of marine transportation is one of its important aspects. Maritime transportation, which was developed rapidly from the prehistory time to historical records times, promoted the development of the Maritime Silk Road(MSR) and shipbuilding technology. Zhoushan Islands' marine culture includes the following: Excellent shipping talents emerged in an endless stream, the birth of business team with ocean view and pragmatic perspective, the dauntless spirit of fighting the invaders bravely, all of these consist of the main parts of Zhoushan Islands' marine culture and make Zhoushan Islands' marine culture important in China, even in the world. It is a very good choice to study the marine culture from the perspective of the history of maritime transportation. Lanxiu Group has its own characteristic of maritime transportation and is very good at MSR and excellent Chuanbang culture. Lanxiu Group combated the invaders with its maritime superiority, and showed its characteristic of marine culture. Based on the research on sea shipping of Lanxiu Group, The dissertation draws conclusion that it is largely a microcosm of Zhoushan marine culture. It is very important for the local history of Zhoushan to research on Lanxiu Group carefully and it is also important to construct Zhoushan Archipelago New Area and contemporary river-sea transportation and maritime silk roads. Zhoushan Islands suffered sea prohibition many times and waste county repeatedly, but the culture of Lanliu Group is endless, residents on the islands were forced to move again and again, but their spirit of hard work and the spirit of sacrifice always continue. All of these come into being the unique cultural circle, that is the Lanxiu Group culture, which is worthy of studying.The maritime shipping of Lanxiu Group is very important in the history of Zhoushan, the East China sea, even the whole China. The most important events are the following: 1)bans on maritime trade in Zhoushan were directly relative to Lanxiu Group; 2)Lanxiu Groups played a very important role in fighting to pirates during the period of Late Qing and early Republic of China; 3)Dalanjie was the biggest traditional sailing boat in the world during the period of Qing and Republic of China, and played a very important role in the history of ship development; 4)A large number of Lanxiu Group's ships were sunk in the Changjiang River Estuary in order to prevent Japanese imperialist aggression; 5)Lanxiu Group brings a profound inspiration to contemporary river-sea transportation and maritime silk roads. It is necessary for us to sort out and research systematically. What is more realistic is that the precious spirit and experience of pioneering will bring more inspirations and gains for Zhoushan Archipelago New Area.This dissertation includes seven parts and two appendices. The first part introduces the objective and significance of the dissertation. The second part deals with the general history of ancient maritime shipping and maritime trade. The third is about the Lanxiu Group before the late Qing Dynasty. The fourth part analyses Lanxiu Group during the late period of Qing and the early period of Republic of China. During this period, with the further development of Zhoushan's maritime trade, Lanxiu Group took an active part in the modern river-sea transportation, fought pirates bravely, and took an active part in the Anti-Japanese War. The sixth part discusses whether the Dananjie is the biggest traditional sailing ship during the Republic of China. The last part is Current significance and Enlightenment,. Finally, there are two appendices, the one is some records material of the Lanxiu Group's traditional sailing ships, and the other is similarities between scholar's Big Ass Ship and Lanxiu Group's Dananjie.
