Based on the understanding of Xiamushushi himself and analysis of the novel content, "The ten dreams of seventh", in order to study different modern views between Xiamushushi and Fuzeyuji, and analyzing the influence of western culture around Japan Meiji period. In Meiji Restoration Period, it is all-sided westernized in the whole Japan. Although it is a successful political revolution in overall, it also makes Japanese cannot find their own position with rapid industrial development, ‘invading' of western culture leading to the own Japanese culture is vanishing day by day. Therefore, it makes Xiamushushi feels the crisis of nation's sense. He proposes standard doctrine, it is not focused on unity and neglected entirety simply, but through studying western culture in order to improve itself and more, take the essence to its dregs, finally enhancing the power of Japan, but not imitating and ‘MIRROR'. But Japan had been blinded by the "color coat" of western capitalism at that time, people blindly imitate the western cultural, "wearing a print dress", "playing the piano", however, Xiamushushi neglects all these phenomena and distinguishes advantages and disadvantages because of stepping on front of era, stating his own opinion by dream. Dreams are the embodiment of a person's subconscious, And Xiamushushi's the use of a hidden dream to insinuate themselves into the heart of the idea, which is a new way of writing and a new creation. This paper that states further analysis of the Japanese society at that time is insufficient by the different understanding of modernization between Xiamushushi and Fuzeyuji, and explains the analysis and opinion of Xiamushushi's current situation in Japan during the Meiji Restoration period from the view of the standard.
