After World War II until now, large numbers of Indo-Chinese refugees and the new Chinese immigrants from the Chinese Mainland , Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan were immigrating into the Western Europe continuously. The Western European and the international situation have undergone major changes. There are great changes with the overseas Chinese in Western Europe and that has also had greater impact on the overseas Chinese associations in Western Europe. In the process, the overseas Chinese associations in Western Europe continued to adapt to change and modernized increasingly. This is demonstrated by modernization of purpose and system of the associations. With the overseas Chinese in Western Europe progressive integrating the local society, the focus of attention from the overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese communities, the focus of attention from the overseas Chinese in Western Europe and the overseas Chinese associations in Western Europe is being from the motherland to the local Chinese community and the local country.
