Hi-tech innovation capacity is the key reflect of overall strength of current countries.The development of national scientific innovation capacity depends on the improvement of creativity of all science and technology researchers.Scientific Creativity is a domain-special creativity in science,which is a good combination of original creativity and science.Does Critical Thinking Disposition influence Scientific Creativity as its effect on original creativity?And whether Creative Self-efficacy plays a role of mediator in the process? The aim of this study is to represent the characteristics of Critical Thinking Disposition,Creative Self-efficacy and Scientific Creativity of high school students,and explore the mediating effect of Creative Self-efficacy in the causal relationship.Firstly,the English version of Short Scale of Creative Self was revised to make it suitable for Chinese.Then,California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory,revised Short Scale of Creative Self and Scientific Creativity Test for Adolescent were used to evaluate traits of 1153 high school students.By applying the methods of questionnaires,individual sample t test,correlation analysis,confirmatory factor analysis and mediating effect test in structure equation model,the characteristics and relationships among students' critical thinking disposition,creative self-efficacy and scientific creativity were undertook exploration.Main conclusions were draw as the following:1.Revised Short Scale of Creative Self fits the requirements of psychometrics,and its reliability and validity index are good.So the scale can be used as measurements of creative self-efficacy.2.The critical thinking disposition of high school students loads in the medium level.There is not gender difference,but differences in grade,discipline and locality.The scores of students of grade 1,science department and city are better.3.The scores of students' creative self efficacy are not different in discipline,however,there are obvious effect in gender,grade and locality.Students of grade 1,male and city achieve better.4.Students' scientific creativity hasn't significant difference in gender,whereas grade,discipline and locality have effect on it.The level of scientific creativity of students of grade 1,science department and city is higher.5.High school students' creative self-efficacy is positively related to critical thinking disposition and its 6 dimensions.Creativeself-efficacy is positively related to scientific creativity and all of its 7dimensions.There is apparent positive correlation between students' critical thinking disposition and scientific creativity.6.Creative self-efficacy plays a role of complete mediator between critical thinking disposition and scientific creativity.
