The Transmutation Of The European Classical Sculpture Shadow's Shaping

Sculpture is a three-dimensional visual art work.It displays in the form of three-dimension,stereoin the front of the audience.The creation and appreciation of sculpture must rely on light and shade.Different from other art form such as oil painting,water color,print,and so on,the shadow of the sculpture rely on external light to exert its effect,instead of setting the light and shade subjectively by artists.Sculptors do their work according to the relation of light,through the subjective treatment of body language,forming a specific lighting effects on the surface of the sculpture.The specific lighting is carrier of sculptors to convey their emotion.Only through the light and shadow effect can sculpture body turning,ups and downs,the space block surface and direction be accurately found.The study of the light and shade shaping method of European classical sculpture is of great significance for the understanding of figurative sculpture and figurative sculpture creation.In this paper,the sculpture of light and shade is as the starting point for the European classical sculpture of the three representative period of the sculpture of the light and shade.In this paper the sculpture's physical movement,body mass,body shape,spatial fluctuations are summarized as the overall lighting,and decent space,decent direction,decent turning,and shaping mechanism are summarized as local lighting.Through the two aspects of the whole lighting and local lighting,with European classical sculpture of three representative period as an example,combined with the European classical sculpture research results at this stage of study,three representative period sculpture shaping method are analyzed and discussed in detail.They are European classical sculpture in ancient Greece,the Renaissance and the 19 th century.Through the study of the European classical sculpture's shaping psychology and space processing method,it is easy for people to understand figurative sculpture physique and decent space shaping principle.The author also analyzes the characteristics of each of the three periods and their connection,as well as the formation of their respective characteristics and causes of contact.
