This article aims at research reading skill upgrading issues among foreign students in intermediate Chinese level learner. This research investigated 33 Madagascar students in intermediate Chinese level at Jiangxi normal university, the survey program involves reading upgrading issues, problems and solutions strategies, as well as practical exercises. In the survey there are eight questions that enable us to understand the source of the problem, the ability to enhance the impact of the problem on the cognitive processes of reading, as well as the ability to enhance student reading problems coping strategies. Through this survey, we found that Malagasy students in intermediate level use to encounter reading Chinese characters problems because of lack of cultural background knowledge, there is no good reading habits and other issues. These problems are mainly due to two aspects:one is the reason for teaching, the second is students have a problem themself by the finding ability to enhance reading comprehension, the main problem is that Chinese reading use a lot of new words that Malagasy students cannot understand. Some students learning Chinese time is relatively short due to the lack of independent reading. This article provides several teaching methods to boost students reading ability level.Malagasy students are not satisfied with their reading ability, but the interest is still relatively high. They have words problems, and the value of writing system is relatively high. And foreigners are not familiar with Chinese culture and its characteristics, which affects reading ability. In addition to language factor, self-evaluation on reading ability, the promotion of values related test and students answers to questions, show a strong sense of self and sense of competition, so I believe that these are caused by students' reading ability the promotion and become an important factor affecting the reading process.
