To search how the heuristic system in dual-process theory working in the probability and the relationship between conditional reasoning and conditional probability, Best(2010) carried out an experiment to evidence his hypotheses. But in this experiment, the participants enrolled were majored in psychology and this kind of participant selection pattern would make bias in cognitive style. This study is based on the research of Best by adding a variant, cognitive style, with two level of field-dependent and filed-independent.The outcome of this study in the level on field-dependent is similar with Best's research, and the level on field-independent is some different from Best's research. After analyzing all the outcome of this study, two conclusions are made. One is that the ability for condition reasoning of individuals who tend to field-independent is better than those who tend to field-dependent. The other is that it is hard for individuals to find the condition probability cue of “Mastermind” by using the heuristic system, because this system can't reveal the essence hidden behind appearances.
